Still Need Officials for Spooky Meet

Due to the large number of swimmers attending, we have decided to split the meet into 2 sessions. See the attached meet package for the details. We will now start at 10:15 for the 11 and over swimmers and expect them to complete around 1:00 followed by the 10 and under swimmers to complete around 4:00 pm.

More Officials’ clinics: Amherstview

Hello Stingrays families! If you weren’t able to make it to the October 1 clinics in Ottawa, there will be another opportunity in Amherstview (Home of the Barracudas) on October 15th and 16th.  Given that the clinics are no longer online, these opportunities to do additional clinics are not to be missed!.  See the notice below.

I will be running an Intro to Competitive Swimming/Time Keeper (level 1) clinic (hopefully) on Saturday, October 21st during the team practice.  I will also look to having a Stroke and Turn clinic in November or December before our Mike Brown meet in January.

Questions?  Answers?  Please do not hesitate to contact me:  Siobhan  smuldowney@me.com

Ryan Cochrane Visit a Huge Success!!

The Perth Stingrays gave Olympian Ryan Cochrane a real small town welcome last Thursday night, with cheers and applause, as he approached the pool! Cochrane led the swimmers through dry land exercises, a multiple of drills, relays and then finished off with a motivational talk.  It was wonderful to see two Canadian Olympians on our pool deck, Ryan Cochrane and Nancy Sweetnam. Thank you Coach Rod for organizing this amazing event-what a great way to kick off the 2016-2017 swim season!
