EOSA Regional Championships Results

Sixteen members of the Perth Stingrays Aquatic Club travelled to Nepean, Ontario on February 1 – 3 to compete in the 2013 Eastern Ontario Short Course Swimming Championships. 20 teams from Eastern Ontario participated in the competition with the Stingrays finishing in 10th place as a team. Top performers were:

Andrew Machan, 11, Perth
1st – 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 butterfly
2nd – 200 freestyle
4th – 400 freestyle
5th – 200 individual medley

Olivia Ellard, 14, Perth
1st – 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle (both swim qualified Olivia for participation in the 2013 Eastern Canadian Championships)

Bailey Andison, 15, Smiths Falls
1st – 100 breaststroke (qualified Bailey for participation in the 2013 Eastern Canadian Championships)

1st – 50 breaststroke
2nd – 100 butterfly
3rd – 50 butterfly
5th – 100 breaststroke

1st – 50 butterfly

The relay team of Andrew Machan, Jonathan Miller, Thomas MacMillan & Owen Baillon placed 2nd in both 10 & under 4 x 50 medley relay and 4 x 50 freestyle relay. The relay team of David Machan, Jonathan Miller, Gareth Martin & Matthew McNames placed 5th in the 11 & 12 4 x 50 medley relay and the team of David Machan, Gareth Martin, Andrew Machan & Matthew McNames placed 6th in the 11 & 12 4 x 50 freestyle relay.
