Introduction to Competitive Swimming Program

Try one of our competitive groups for 2 weeks (for free!) or enrol in our “Introduction to Competitive Swimming” Program

What do you need?
-A love of swimming
-The ability to swim 1 length (25 meters) of any stroke

When?
-Tuesday, September 23, 2014 between 4:00 and 5:45 p.m.

-Thursday, September 25, 2014 between 4:00 and 5:45 p.m.

-Tuesday, September 30, 2014 between 4:00 and 5:45 p.m.

Bring your suit, towel and goggles (if you have some) and we’ll evaluate your swimming and recommend a group.
It will only take about 5 minutes, so come on out!

Introduction to Competitive Swimming

The Perth Stingrays continues to offer our Introduction to Competitive Swimming Program to children who are looking to become stronger swimmers and improve their fitness while experiencing competitive swimming in a learner-centred environment.

The program consists of three 11-week sessions. Each session is made up of two 45-minute practices per week. The practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:25 – 5:10 and 5:15 – 6:00 p.m. The main objective is to teach the stroke techniques needed to swim all four competitive swimming strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.

Sessions run:

October 2 to December 11, 2014
January 6 to March 67, 2015 (no practice March 10 or 12 – March Break) March 31 to June 11, 2015

Price: $202.29 per session (16.5 hours) + $41.90 Swim Ontario Registration Fee (once per swim season/September - June)
