Stroke and Turn "On Deck" Workshop

Hello Stingrays families

In anticipation of the Mike Brown Meet on January 4-6, 2013 I will be running a Stroke and Turn on deck workshop on Saturday Dec 8 between 8 and 9 am.  Our senior swimmers will be helping us out, demonstrating the strokes, the correct way to do the turns and some of the common errors.

The idea  behind this is to demystify the role of Stroke and Turn Judge.  After Timer, Stroke and Turn is the next most needed position for filling.  We usually need 5 S/T judges per session.  Yes, the S/T judge is the one who potentially disqualifies a swim but the coaches will tell you that it is so important for kids to learn what they are doing incorrectly so they can fix it.

In preparation for the clinic, I would ask that you do the online Stroke and Turn clinic.  The password is:  swimfun2     This planned on deck workshop is meant to supplement the clinic.

(If there is enough expression of interest, I would consider running the clinic, which would be the same as the online one,  in a live format on Wednesday Dec 5th between 4 and 6 pm at the pool.  Please send me a message by Monday morning and I'll let everyone know and book the multipurpose room)

Send me a message if you have any questions.  Please let me know if you are planning on coming on the 8th.

Thank you!
