Stingrays Team Orientation and Equipment Sale This Saturday!

Well, the first week of swim practices for the competitive groups is now in the books!  Coming up on Saturday September 27, 2014 we will host our annual orientation event and equipment sale. 

It will start at 8:30 am (during the last half hour of the Saturday morning team swim) until approximately 9:30 am in the Multi-Purpose room at the pool. This event is meant for all Stingrays families including families with children in the Introduction to Competitive program.

The order of events will be:

08:30 to 09:00 Information Session for Parents.
We will explain:

• Swimming Terms, time standards, levels of competition
• Officiating and obligations
• Parent's do and don't at meets and during practice
• Swim Meets who when why and what
• Mike Brown Meet
• Swim Ontario - website, looking up times

09:00 to 09:30 Clothing Exchange and Sale
(fruit and muffins will be potluck and coffee will be provided)

• Clothing and equipment exchange - families can bring in swimsuits and equipment that no longer fits their children and we will try to match them up with another swimmer. 
• Clothing Sale - Carrie Hopper will be there with examples of the team clothing and will take orders. Please be prepared with your payment by cash or cheque
• Equipment Sale - There will also be training gear such as fins, training snorkels, pull buoys etc which your child's coach may recommend they have. (Not all groups are required to have these.)

The information session is meant for newer families to swimming, but anyone is welcome. We will have the information in a Power Point package and will share it on the blog after the session for future reference.
